Alaska DMV and tag offices observe state and federal holidays, including New Years Eve and New Years Day (or following Monday if holiday falls on weekend), Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas Day.
